Privacy Policy

This policy describes what we collect, why we collect it, and how you can exercise your rights over your data.

Data we collect

• Account data: name, email, profile photo from your auth provider (Clerk).
• Event data: event names, venue details, guest lists you enter.
• Uploads: photos your guests share to the event gallery.
• Billing: payment references from Stripe. We don't see card numbers.
• Diagnostic logs: server-side request logs for debugging, retained for up to 30 days.

How we use it

We use your data to provide the Service: authenticating you, rendering your events, processing payments, serving photos to authorized guests, and sending operational emails (receipts, org invitations).

Sharing

We share data only with processors required to run the Service: our hosting provider, Clerk (auth), Stripe (payments), Neon (database), Cloudflare (file storage), Anthropic (optional AI analysis of uploaded floor plan images, used only at your explicit request). We don't sell personal data.

Guest photos

Guest-uploaded photos are served via signed URLs that expire hourly. Access requires a valid PIN cookie (if the event is PIN-gated). Event organizers can delete any photo.

Your rights

You can access, export, or delete your data by contacting privacy@weddinghubapp.com. Deleted events are purged after a 30-day grace period. Under GDPR and CCPA you have the right to access, correction, deletion, and objection.

Cookies

We set a session cookie for authentication (via Clerk) and a short- lived cookie for the guest app PIN gate. We don't use tracking cookies.

Retention

Accounts and events are retained until you delete them. Deleted events and their photos are purged after 30 days. Operational logs are retained up to 30 days. Billing records are retained as long as required by law.
